Nadia Comaneci - (born on 12th November, 1961 Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej (now Onesti, Romania), Romanian gymnast. First gymnast in history to score a 10 for competing in the Olympics. Bela Karalyi was introduced to Comaneci at the age of six. She would later be Romania's gymnastics coach. First competing in the junior national championships of Romania in 1969, she was 13th. In 1970, she the Romanian gymnast won. In 1972, during an event for communist-controlled countries' junior athletes before the Olympics she was awarded 3 gold and silver medals. After that, in 1973 and '74 she was the junior champion in all aspects. In 1975, she took home 4 gold and 1 silver at her first senior international contest. Lyudmila Torishcheva was a five-time European champion. In 1976, she won the American Cup at the New York City Olympics. She also became the first woman ever to remove the bars in parallel with backwards double salto. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. The story of Carol Wayne into the realm of entertainment began as a teenager. Along with her twin sister Nina Wayne, she joined touring entertainment programs called Ice Capades. Carol Marie Wayne was a born on 6th September, 1942 in Chicago Illinois. Carol started her career in the world of entertainment as a teen. She started her career performing figure skating with Nina Wayne, her younger sister, in the traveling entertainment shows Ice Capades. The show featured dramatic ice skating shows.
